Digital Health Challenge lab

The aim is to develop new care concepts based on questions (challenges) from residents and professionals in three districts in our region that will provide solutions for regional challenges in the field of care, health and living. These concepts ensure that people are self-reliant for longer, that fewer care staff are needed and that health inequalities are reduced.

A) Healthy Living programme line

The Healthy Living programme line, from the Regio Deal, will be further developed with substantive projects that are part of the regional spearhead Digital Health.

Activities

The needs of residents in neighbourhoods are mapped and challenges are defined on that basis. For the companies involved that offer technological solutions, these challenges form the basis for arriving at innovative solutions that can be tested and validated with and by the residents. A consortium of hospitals, care organisations, housing corporations, welfare organisations, GPs, entrepreneurs and a number of municipalities will work together in specific neighbourhoods to increase the health, welfare and self-reliance of residents.

Expected result

It creates a living lab that focuses on staff well-being, where healthcare technology can play an essential role in increasing the job satisfaction of healthcare staff. In addition, the project will generate significant economic value, with new business opportunities for companies developing innovative solutions, attracting new investment and boosting regional employment. Additional f inancing will be sought and implementation of this project will start in 2025.
