National efforts in Neuromorphic Computing

Brain-inspired computing – also known as neuromorphic computing – is a field that designs materials and devices inspired by the brain’s architecture and function, making it possible to compute faster and smarter, with a drastically reduced energy consumption. The Netherlands has an impressive ecosystem with both knowledge institutions and innovative startups working on new applications, materials and chip architectures to bring neuromorphic computing to market. Together with Topsector ICT, they have recently published a white paper and an action plan to further strengthen the Dutch position in this field and to accelerate innovation in the next generation of computing technology. Join this session to learn more about these rapid developments!
