INNOVATE and science magazine Quest present the eight finalists of De Innovatiefste Student van Nederland 2025.
The future of innovation lies in the hands of students who are already coming up with solutions to the biggest challenges of our time. For the fifth time in a row, this year's search for The Most Innovative Student of the Netherlands. From nearly 100 entries from MBO schools, colleges and universities across the country, a jury of experts chose 7 ground-breaking finalists. In addition, one public winner was also selected via a national voting round.
At Thursday evening 2 October 2025 They will pitch their ideas live on the stage of the brand-new ACT Eventstudios(Cleantech Park Arnhem). For the winner lies not only the title "The Most Innovative Student of the Netherlands", but also an impressive prize package:

- Ticket to Websummit Lisbon
- A sustainable Fairphone To keep connecting in style, including ten to twenty Issues featuring changemakers and the INNOVATE network

The 7 jury finalists + 1 audience winner (in random order):
- Ardion - builds the bridge between artificial intelligence and responsibility.
- Vindi Biosystems - continuously monitors biomarkers to detect diseases even before symptoms are visible.
- InMotion - develops a revolutionary battery pack that allows electric cars to recharge in just 3 minutes and 56 seconds: almost as fast as refuelling.
- JiTiBa - deploys algae to purify sewage sludge and recover raw materials, making wastewater treatment circular.
- InfraBlades - Audience winner - enables reuse of wind turbine blades as sustainable building materials.
- Edion - offers an AI workbench especially for teachers, reducing their administrative burden by 86%.
- Emergency PowerBox - provides immediate power and communication in disaster and emergency situations.
- EnableLens - makes websites accessible by translating them in real-time into information that blind and visually impaired people can use with their screen reader.
Final on 2 October in Arnhem
The final promises to be a spectacular evening. In front of a live audience and a professional jury, the eight finalists will compete for the title. The competition is exciting, because in addition to the main prize, participation offers all finalists a springboard: from international visibility to valuable investor contacts.
