Do you have serious growth ambitions as a (young) company? Then subsidies, financing, loans, support programmes or other facilities can provide a nice boost. As we do every quarter, we once again list five new opportunities.
Agricultural sustainability
Development agency Oost NL is launching the ‘Agricultural Sustainability Growth Accelerator’. Livestock farmers in Gelderland have recently been able to apply for a knowledge voucher. This enables them to engage external expertise to draw up plans for the future of their businesses. For many livestock farmers, that future is uncertain, particularly due to the government’s nitrogen plans and uncertainty surrounding succession.
Oost NL is implementing the programme on behalf of the province of Gelderland. Under this programme, 80 per cent of the costs, up to a maximum of 10,000 euros, are reimbursed. Livestock farmers who are interested can submit a proposal here and find further information.
Nitrogen reduction
More grant news for livestock farmers. Grants will soon be available through the provincial authorities for nitrogen reduction through the relocation or adaptation of livestock farms, and for investments in proven nitrogen-reducing measures in housing systems.
According to the Gelderland provincial government’s website, applications for all three of these schemes will open shortly. No date has been specified (as yet). Applications can be submitted until 1 July 2024. The subsidy for nitrogen reduction through the relocation or adaptation of livestock farms is available to all business owners who operate a livestock farm. Information on the eligibility criteria, the application procedure and the available grant can be found on this (relocation of livestock farms) and this (modification of livestock farms) website. The grant for investments in proven nitrogen-reducing measures in livestock housing systems is available to all PAS (Programme for Tackling Nitrogen) registrants.

Matchmaking event for health sector
The third edition of the Radboudumc Investment Day will take place on 12 October in Nijmegen. It is a matchmaking event for investors, entrepreneurs and leading researchers in the life sciences and health sectors, and is jointly organised by Radboudumc, Radboud University, Briskr and Oost NL.
The organisers aim to bring participants into contact with one another. The event therefore uses a matchmaking platform to arrange one-to-one meetings and offers various parallel sessions led by leading researchers, promising start-ups and investors. This allows you to tailor the presentations to your own preferences and set aside time for targeted meetings both before and during the programme. More information about the programme and other activities can be found here. The event is ‘invite only’, but those interested can express their interest by email.
Renewable energy
The Sustainable Energy Production and Climate Transition Incentive Scheme (SDE++) is open for new applications again until 5 October. It provides grants to businesses and non-profit organisations that generate renewable energy on a large scale or reduce CO₂ emissions.
The scheme is run on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The government aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Netherlands by at least 55 per cent by 2030 compared with 1990 levels. The total budget for this scheme is no less than 8 billion euros. More information about the scheme can be found here.
