On 17 May, the ASM Student Festival took place in the city blocks in Arnhem. For this vibrant event, 15,000 students from HAN University of Applied Sciences, ArtEZ, Rijnijssel and Van Hall Larenstein, among others, were able to get a free ticket and enjoy music by several well-known artists, while enjoying drinks and, of course, each other. Just one more party moment before the final months of the school year.
Networking with students
The ASM Student Festival featured a VIP Business Lounge where 1,000 invited (graduating) students had the opportunity to interact with networking organisations such as Lifeport and Briskr. This gave students the chance to look for graduate internships, get new inspiration, meet new companies and network. In short: they were able to gain a lot of information about internship and work opportunities in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region.
It was not only beneficial for the students to engage in the talks. There was also an opportunity for companies in the region to make new connections, attract the attention of young potentials and expand their network.
Lifeport in the VIP Business Lounge
Lifeport was present at the VIP Business Lounge to inform and inspire students about the exciting and innovative companies we have in the Lifeport Arnhem-Nijmegen region, operating in the Energy, Health and High-Tech sectors. We want to show them the opportunities our region has to offer. As a region, we need these talented individuals for our labour market and for the innovations required to drive the various transitions and ambitions we are pursuing as a region.
Lifeport organised a fun Polaroid photo activity. Students could have a personalised Polaroid photo taken as a lasting memento of the event. The Polaroid photo was placed in a frame featuring a QR code that students could scan. This QR code links to a landing page on the lifeport.nl/en website, which provided them with information about the region and offered various opportunities to find jobs at interesting local companies.
The page that students are taken to when they scan the QR code can be viewed here.
At the ASM Student Festival, a bridge was built between students, businesses and the Arnhem-Nijmegen region, making the festival a valuable event.
