The Health Vally Event took place on 30 March. A robot handing out leaflets, VR demos, this event was about Transition in Healthcare. In sessions and at booths, the topic was: affordable and accessible care of today and tomorrow, supported by technological innovations. Experts talked about the big challenges such as the labour market, affordability of care and the right care in the right place.
The Economic Board and Briskr
The Economic Board shared a booth together with Briskr. Briskr supports start-up companies in Health/High Tech with networking events, coaching, workshops and funding search.
On behalf of The Economic Board, our programme manager Nicky Hogenkamp told more about our foundation and its commitment to a strong Health and High Tech cluster.
"A nice event to talk to the connections in the region you have a little more extensively for once. Also interesting to be able to tell people from outside the region what is happening here in terms of medical innovations."
General Director Jan van Dellen and Civic entrepreneur Health, Hightech, Food John van Sambeek were also present to strengthen ties in the network and expand it further.
The Economic Board is committed to advancing the Health and High Tech sectors and taking them to the next level. Innovative high-tech developments are necessary for a viable future of healthcare. Flagship projects include the OnePlanet Research Centre, Briskr 2.0 and the Chip Integration Technology Centre (CITC).

Meeting place
The event was a great meeting place to strengthen ties from the existing network and also to make new contacts. Our grabbing machine created a lot of buzz in the stand. Who wouldn't want to take one, two or three chances to fish up a mug, 3D printed bridge or fair trade chocolate bar?
There was also a lot to experience on the exhibition floor, with some 60 stands and 40 held with 80 speakers. Having so much happening in one place really added value.
