On 19, 20 and 21 May 2026,Cleantech Park Arnhem will be transformed into a living lab for thesecond time during the Demo Days as part of Arnhem Electricity Week 2026. With 25 participating organisations and an expected turnout of 2,500 visitors from across Europe, the event continues to grow steadily. Over the course of three days, electrical innovations will be tested and demonstrated live on the park’s test strip – ranging from smart energy grids and mobile energy hubs to applications for construction, industry and logistics, as well as social innovations.
Live interoperability test for e-trucks and e-construction equipment
One of the innovations being tested during the Demo Days comes from Hedgehog Applications. The company plans to conduct live interoperability tests for electric trucks and electric construction equipment during the event. A mobile DC fast charger will be placed on the test strip. In cooperation with ElaadNL and in-house charging infrastructure and software engineers, the company will test various models of e-trucks and e-construction equipment - from cranes to mobile battery packs - for compatibility and interoperability. The test results are displayed live on a large screen. Transporters and construction companies can have their vehicles and equipment tested free of charge during the Demo Days. This will provide instant insight into how different systems work together in practice - a crucial question in a market where electrification is rapidly increasing.

Testing electrification in practice
The Demo Days have become a permanent pillar within Arnhem Electricity Week and are distinguished by their practical nature. Innovations are not presented in a conference hall, but tested in a realistic working environment. "The energy transition requires places where you don't just discuss innovation, but actually try it out and experience it," says Jet van Zwieten, director of Cleantech Park Arnhem. "During the Demo Days, we bring technology out into the open. This is where new collaborations emerge, ideas are honed and companies take concrete steps towards market application. The growth of this second edition shows that Arnhem is developing into an important European meeting place for electrification."
Part of Arnhem Electricity Week
The Demo Days are part of the Arnhem Electricity Week and are linked to the European New Power Summit, among others. This combination ensures an international influx of companies, policymakers and investors from all over Europe. For exhibitors, the event thus provides a stage to make innovations visible to a relevant audience.
